Listening to music is one of my favorite things to do, in fact even at work I usually have my earphones plugged into my ear and listening all day long. There are particular genres that I am in to. Some of those are belong to rock and metal genre. I don’t usually get easily amazed by all types of music. There are some factors that I am looking for. It’s like a judge thing actually. Like for example the lyrics it self, if I don’t hear the lyrics well like the front man sings like the cookie monster, and then I will not like it. Then the melody, if it’s not well harmonized with the lyrics then I wouldn’t listen to that either.

I don’t know about you, but that is me and that’s how I like music.

I’ve been an avid fan of music. Actually I play the guitar on our band, it’s a metal band. We play all sorts of metal music like progressive, industrial, nu, doom, death, etc. Almost all kinds of metal music. One time we audition on a contest, then luckily we are selected. We were surprised, because there were a lot of bands coming from different genres who join the audition. We are not that good, we just play music and jam together like we are having fun. And that’s what music is, having fun. But we didn’t won the contest, but it is so cool being on a stage with lots of those metal dudes watching you and jamming along with your song. That was fantastic.

Of all the musical instruments, I like the guitar. I don’t know why, all I know is I enjoy playing it. I remember back then, I practice my guitar playing almost all day just to learn a riff of a single song. But also, I want to learn other instruments like the drums and keyboard for example. I think it’s kinda cool if you know many instruments, but it would take you a hard time doing those multitask. But nonetheless, I would be able to manage those things, I hope. I’m still on the process, so stick around, I’ll be posting if there’s an improvement.

Hi guys, you might wondering why my blog title is concrete jungle. Well it’s actually based of one song that I’ve heard from the band Black Label Society. And also a collaboration of the Guns N Roses song “Welcome to the Jungle” which I indicated on my past post. This song is telling a story about whats life inside the city, how it is hard to make life inside the city.

One of the song that inspires me with this blog is the “Welcome to the Jungle” by Gun’s N Roses from the album “Appetite for Destruction”. A rock band from the late 80’s that has grew outstandingly just in short time. Their success had my wake-up call to write something like this. On the song, they explain the cruelty of the jungle. How is life inside the jungle. Just before Gun’s N Roses were formed, the lead singer Axl Rose, when first landed in the city is told by a black man quoting “welcome to the jungle, you gonna die”. Inspired of what the black man said, he came-up with this song. I included this song on my blog because I think it’s relevant and to let you know how this song inspired me.
