My friend called me last time to ask me if I could help him re-install his computer wiring at home. Well, what he got is a state of the art computer system with lots of peripheral devices. Actually, it took the two of us to install his computer set up last time. He told me that he detached all the cables and will be replacing them with good vga cables. I told him that I will be visiting him this weekend.

The one issue that held mobility back was the availability of mobile networks that were actually useful. Until recently, surfing the Internet on your mobile phone (all other things aside) was like surfing on a dial-up connection or worse. Currently, there are two available mobile data networks: 2G (also called the Edge network) and 3G.

The 2G network transfers data at about 360 Kbps or less. That’s not terrible, but for web sites that are built for broadband and large displays, it does create a slower — sometimes maddening — experience. Still, even a 2G network is tolerable on a mobile platform when working with web sites that are designed for mobile surfing.

The 3G network can be considerably faster. In some areas, the data transfer rate can be as much as 7.2 Mbps, and most of the major wireless carriers now offer 3G network speeds, which reduces much of the irritation that users experienced in the past with mobile Internet access.

Increased network speeds also mean that you can offer your mobile users a richer mobile experience. However, keep in mind that mobile is still not the same as broadband, and the richness of the mobile Internet experience is derived from better features and functionality, not flashier graphics and bandwidth-eating applications.

I was talking to my office mate last time, he is asking me about what could be the perfect gift for his cousin. I told him that it depends actually, it could be something like one of his likes or maybe something he doesn’t have yet. He told me that his cousin loves different kinds of tech gadgets and other computer related things. I told him that nowadays there are lots of tech things out there, there are too many of them that most of the time they are on sale. Different models and different types make them competitive in performance and so as have very competitive price also.

I remember watching a very educational show on the television, I think it was last month. A group of very talented individuals created a very useful thing that I think have many uses. They have developed a speaker that produces sounds in a more directive manner. What do I mean by that? Usually speakers have this “omni directional” property thing, so as sending sound waves on most directions. Although the normal speakers can transmit most of its signal at where it faces, still some are scattered around.

This directional speaker has the ability to focus its signal on a single path which makes it even more useful. According from the host of the show, the military intended to use this speaker for a hostile environment. Personally I find it very nice of them, because they will try not to hurt anyone with that, but only preventing them.

On a normal use, I think it’s cool if you want to watch or hear something that you don’t need to disturbed anyone. Like watching your favorite band concert or listening to your favorite music, on loud preferences. You can focus the signals directly to you, so you are the only person that can hear it.

It is nice to know that nowadays how daily task became easy and convenient. My wife went to the grocery this morning and she got back in less than two hours I think, that was fast. She usually takes three to four hours back then, but here in the city it is much faster. Well the grocery owners found ways on how to make it fast actually. They have provided customers ease like having this conveyor rubber belt for fast grocery item movement, scanners like the Symbol LS2208 bar-code scanners which makes fast billing, etc. Everything is made faster, which is ideally necessary for persons that are always on the go. My wife loves the system actually, she is even planning to do the “grocery” thing twice a week.

Last week my best friend called me and he wants me to dropped by on his house to check out his new console game. He got an xbox 360 which his father gave him on his last birthday, he always wanted to have that one. Anyway, the game was pretty exciting because it was a role playing game which we’ve waited a long time ago to be available on that console. Because the graphics and over all feature of the game will become rich on that console. We played the whole day till night because we hoped that we will be able to finish the game on one sitting.

I have read the newspaper this morning, what’s inside are the usual news about ht climate, economic growth, latest lifestyle, etc. One that caught my eyes was this latest piece of equipment. I never heard of such tool not until now. Anyway, this tool helps those people who have this cardiac problem. It makes the cardiac system back to it’s to normal state. Due to abnormalities of electrical activities of the heart, it needs to be synchronized to be able to function again. This AED or the Automated External Defibrillator, provides the needs for that synchronization. Nowadays, technology gets better and better everyday. How I wonder on what will be the news for tomorrows newspaper.
